About Us

Mission

Access Health is a comprehensive community health coalition, working with community partners to improve the health and well-being of our communities by addressing the required Ten Essential Public Health Services. The emphasis of the coalition is to coordinate and support community efforts in:

  • Substance abuse prevention, with a focus on youth
  • Tobacco prevention, cessation, and reduction of secondhand smoke
  • Physical activity
  • Healthy eating
  • Mental health awareness and literacy
  • Chronic disease management

The coalition recognizes the diversity of the Mid Coast Maine communities of Sagadahoc County, Brunswick and Harpswell and believes that addressing these health issues requires the cooperation of the Sagadahoc County Board of Health and many community partners.
