Access Health’s substance abuse work is overseen by our community coalition: Communities Against Substance Abuse (CASA).
CASA includes individuals and organizations working together to prevent substance abuse in Sagadahoc County, Brunswick, and Harpswell, including local police and sheriff departments, schools, treatment agencies, and others.
CASA’s mission is to work with the community to prevent and eliminate substance abuse. Our work currently focuses on the following:
- Underage drinking awareness and strategies to prevent youth access to alcohol and drugs
- Prescription drug misuse education and safe storage & disposal campaigns
- Marijuana education and teen use prevention
- Problem gambling support
